Fabric expansion joints
Fabric joints accommodate movement in several directions at once and exert almost no reactive force on the connected structure. They are compact, quick to install and easily adapted to site conditions.
The right fabric joint depends on the application. By layering different materials and weighing thermal, chemical, mechanical and fatigue behaviour, engineers arrive at a solution built for reliable, long-term service.
Metal expansion joints
Metal joints are flexible connectors installed in piping and ducting to take up the expansion and vibration caused by changes in temperature, pressure and process media.
The range runs from standard round and rectangular ducting joints through to heavily engineered designs for critical duty, backed by a long heritage in welding and forming special materials — including a broad range of nickel alloys — and complete documentation to standards such as ASME and EJMA.
