A silo is a structure for storing bulk materials. Silos are used in agriculture to store grain, powders, fermented feed (known as silage) and animal slurry. Silos are used by other industries for bulk storage of coal, cement, sand, woodchips, metal waste, food products and sawdust. Sanam Al Basra can fulfil the role of principal contractor, bringing together and co-ordinating all aspects of the installation, including removal of any existing silo. We carry out full project planning and programming and take responsibility for all specialist sub-contract management. Sanam’s engineers can disconnect, dismantle and organize the lifting of your redundant silo in preparation for the new installation. If required, Starfab can organize the transport of the silo for scrap.
Installation of GRP Bolted Tank
We installed many types of GRP tanks, especially sectional & panel water storage tanks. GRP water tank (also known as Fiberglass Reinforced Water Tank) is also called SMC storage water tank, FRP water storage tank, SMC panel tanks, FRP panel tank, GRP panel tank, GRP sectional water tank, etc. It consists mainly of fiberglass and resin called Sheet Molding Compound” – a fiberreinforced material that consists of a thermosetting resin glass fiber. It is hydraulically hot pressed into panels of varying sizes and thicknesses depending on the customer’s needs. These panels are then used to assemble the panel water tank by connecting them to each other via the steel skeleton and rubber gaskets in between each panel.
